When Pillow Pets first came out I was not impressed. I thought that it was just another stuffed animal, but I was wrong. I got one for my own daughter and she plays with it constantly throughout the day and uses it as her pillow every night. Usually when I would buy a gift, like a stuffed animal, she will play with it for about 5 minutes and move on to the next toy. There is something special with the Pillow Pets that she just can’t get enough of.
I took her to the store and let her pick out her own Pillow Pet. She wanted the “Huggable Hippo”. I can’t believe she even picked just one out. There are so many different choices to pick from – Disney characters, Farm, Zoo, Ocean, Fantasy, Sports, and other Specialty Pillow Pets. They are all around the same size, except if you are getting the “baby” Pillow Pet.
The first thing I really loved about it was how incredibly soft it is. There are no moving parts or batteries to replace. It is so simple to transition the Pillow Pet from “pillow” to “pet” form. There is a strap that is made of very soft material with Velcro. The Velcro has a little piece of cloth to cover the “scratchy” part. When you remove that little piece of cloth, and pull the pillow side together and it become a pet. It takes about 5 seconds to do this and your children will have their pet to play with.
I was really impressed with how easy it is to take care of and maintain the Pillow Pet. Put your Pillow Pet inside of a white pillow case. Be sure to tie off the ends so it is closed up. This prevents your washer from damaging the fabric. Secondly, put it in the washer on the gentle cycle and ONLY cold water. After that, DO NOT put it in the dryer! Just let your Pillow Pet air dry! It’s that simple.
No matter what age your child(ren) are, they will absolutely love the Pillow Pet. They can take it anywhere and they will always have their favorite toy and pillow.
