New Year Resolutions For 2012

2012 New Year Resolutions

It’s hard to believe a new year is almost upon us. It seems like 2011 just started. With a new year comes new resolutions. Many you’ve probably already told yourself all the other years but keep that glimmer of hope for the new year.

So when you’re partying into the New Year for 2012 here’s a list of things you should think about starting out your new year. Your number one focus should be your health. If you’re a smoker you should quit smoking and actually do it. The best devices to assist in quitting smoking are electronic cigarettes. These devices let you inhale harmless water vapor.

I find it funny that some people question the health effects of using electronic cigarettes without realizing how damaging tobacco smoke is. So do yourself a favor this year and quit smoking a little easier with a new electronic cigarette. The smoking simulation is outstanding and it really helps with the the people who need to be holding something between their fingers. Most of them are lite weight and can be puffed on in places like bars, clubs, sports games, the office, movies and home. You get the idea..

Second on the list of New Year resolutions is weight loss. Many people struggle with this each year. This is a big one. Realistically you only need to do two things to control your weight. Number one, watch what you’re eating. Put a stop to eating fast food and cut out all the greasy foods.

Just put it this way, if it tastes good throw it out. Once you get your calorie intake in control you can invest in a treadmill to help you start exercising. Many people now hold office jobs and do absolutely nothing to elevate their heart beats besides drinking coffee with overloaded sugar and cream.

If you still plan on drinking coffee you should drink it black. Enjoy the natural flavors of coffee. A regular cup of black coffee only has 2 calories! You could drink a few of those a day without having to worry about the implications of all the sugar and dairy you’re consuming in your cup of joe.

Next on the list is debt consolidation. This one comes up a lot. So many people over spend themselves into oblivion and want a fresh start in the new year. So how can you do this? Well, first thing is first tear up all your credit cards. I know you probably heard this before but that’s what you need to do.

Credit cards aren’t a bad thing if harnessed properly. Once you’ve successfully gotten yourself out of debt maybe that credit card can start working for you. If you don’t have the cash to make a purchase than don’t buy it if you don’t need it. Of course you can keep a credit card somewhere as an emergency in case something like a furnace breaks down and you need immediate cash. You may also look into getting something like a payday loan but you’ll want to read the fine print before you consent to anything like that.

There are debt consolidation companies out there that can also lower your total debt for you. This may be an option for you but it’s going to look a little bad on your credit report. Your credit report may already be damages so it might not make a difference.

The third thing is productivity. Many people want to be more productive in their lives. Maybe you want to take up a new hobby but don’t have time. This is just like the excuse people use to not exercise. If you really want to do something you can find the time to do it.

I’ve heard every excuse in the book why somebody won’t do something. Simply put, most people have just gotten lazy. Turn your TV show off and get productive. The countless hours people spend looking at a box is astonishing. You can even wake up a little earlier before work. I find waking up before work to do things I want to do really helps me.

I start my day off feeling nice and refreshed. When you first begin you might get discourage but you’ll really get used to it after about a week of repletion. It doesn’t take your body very long at all to form a new habit. You’d be surprised.

Well that’s all my tips for the 2012 new year. Be safe! If you drink too much just remember to find a DD or just buy a cab. It’s not worth it to kill yourself or somebody else.

Have a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!
